Our Events

At the Malvern Library, we have many regular events. Most do not require any advance registration, but some do. Please be sure and check each event description carefully. If you have any questions about a specific event, feel free to call the library! See all of our events on our calendar, including special one-time events, here.

Library Card Signups

September is Library Card Signup Month! Sign up for a card at our library and enter to win an autographed book or a Target gift card. Already have a library card? Check out a dozen books at Malvern Public Library in September, and we’ll enter your name into the raffle.

Community Events

Malvern Harvest Oktoberfest: Sun. Sept. 10, 11am-4pm.
Visit our table at the Harvest Oktoberfest in downtown Malvern and say hi! We’ll have a craft for kids and a chance to win prizes for all ages.

Adult Programs

Adult Book Club: Tues. Sept.12, @ 10am.
The book club is back from its summer hiatus! We will discuss two books this month: Where’d You Go, Bernadette? by Maria Semple AND The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon. No need to register!

Woolgatherers: Mon. Sept. 18, 6:15-8pm.
Knitting group to share conversation, ideas, resources, and projects. No need to register!

Medicare and You: Fri. Oct. 6, 1-3pm.
Coming in October: Learn the basics of Medicare at this informational seminar.  Please call the library or register online.

Fall Storytimes

Storytimes for children ages 0-6 begin September 6 and continue until November 9. Please email Miss Kelly at kshea@ccls.org or call us to register for the fall session (except family storytime!).

Kids’ Programs

Library Scavenger Hunt (Grades PreK-5): Thurs. Sept. 21, anytime from 10am-6pm.
Day off from school? Or looking for something to do after school? Join us for a Library Scavenger Hunt in the children’s area. Complete the list and win a prize. No need to register!

Big Kid Storytime (Grades 1-2): Weds. Sept. 27, 4:30-5:15pm.
Storytime and a craft for children in grades 1-2. Please register in advance online.

Read to Holly (Grades PreK-5): Thurs. @ 4:30pm, 4:50pm OR 5:10pm.
Sign up for a time slot on Thursday afternoons to read to Holly, our therapy dog. Holly is a great listener! Please register in advance by calling or emailing the library.

Crafternoon (Grades 3-5): Weds. Sept. 13, 4:30-5:15pm.
Make an animal mosaic craft! For children in grades 3-5. Please register in advance online.

Paint kindness rocks to hide around the community! Please register in advance online.
